Peruvian taste buds


Peru is a state of vivacious food, and its taste buds are one of the biggest reasons to visit Peru. The aroma of fresh seafood and fish is mingled with the air in the coastal regions of Northern Peru. The local food recipes are dominated by fish flavored with lime. A glimpse of Spanish culinary traditions can also be seen. Some constituent of traditional recipes are maize, Ají, oca, ulluco, avocado, potato and fruits like chirimoya, lúcuma etc. Rice with seafood sauce and fish broath is the most loved plate here. Often these are a combination of oysters, swordfish, crabs and prawns etc. Mangrovian black shells are also a hit.

Noche de Bodas: a fish broth concentrate, will reach the core of your heat.
Ceviche de Pescado: a preparation of white fish in the juice of lime, garlic and jalapeno peppers.

Limo Ají de Langostinos: a super delicious meal of prawns dipped in grated bread sauce
Majarisco a seafood sauce which has a delicacy of being served on a base of trodden green bananas

Typical food of northern Peru does not stop at only fish; other animals like chicken and beef are also served with specific local pepper tinge. A very favorite Peruvian dish is a main course of Arroz con Pollo, chicken breast cooked in olive oil. Lomo Saltado, a beef preparation and Arroz Tapado, a tempting combo of rice, eggs and olive oil fulfills the taste desires of a food lover. For a sweet tooth, a fabulous dessert is waiting, Leche Asada, a delicious mix of condensed milk, evaporated milk and eggs. A traditional preparation and a witness of historical Peru, Pisco Sour, a drink delicacy prepared in Peruvian Brandy lavishes the Peruvian cuisine.
